Handbook Purpose

This handbook has been designed to provide you with general information about the agency which includes employee benefits, policies, and rules of conduct. For additional information, including policies and procedures in their entirety, consult your immediate supervisor or the Agencie's Human Resources Department.

The United Way of King County will amend this handbook when circumstances prove necessary. At such time, the Agency will communicate the changes to all employees.

United Way policies, procedures, resolutions, and amendments supersede this handbook. State and federal law supersedes any items that may be in question within this handbook.

This employee handbook does not imply that any employee of the United Way of King County is an employee for life. This is not a contract. The employee handbook is merely an informational resource for employees.

Employment with the United Way is voluntarily entered into, and the employee is free to resign at will at any time, with or without cause. Similarly, the agency may terminate the employment relationship at any time, except as may be modified by a collective bargaining agreement, with or without cause.
