Philosophy of work

This is not a graded class. You do not have to take notes, nothing will be on the final. This is strictly a pass or or be miserable class. One simple quote. "If you go into work unhappy everyday for two weeks, you are in the wrong job".

You may be doing the right job, but in the wrong spot. Or you could be in the right spot, but doing the wrong, job. Whatever the case. Change something. Life is not what happens when you are not at work! This life is all you got!! It goes by quick enough without your making yourself miserable. You are not chained to the job. You may even have to make some sacrifices. Do you want that new car bad enough to make yourself miserable for it. A used car is not that bad to drive. Trust me, I know.

Another wise saying is "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig". There are many things in life that are inevitable. You will make some people mad, people on the freeway will yell at you and your children will not like you on certain days. Get over it. If you know that you will never get that neighbor to not mow the lawn at 8 A.M. on Saturday morning, then make plans on getting up then. You will anyhow, it might as well by your choice. You cannot chose how life flows, but you can choose how you are going to react to it.

"Life is what happens while you make plans about living". Don't get so caught up in the future that you miss what is going on around you today. Take a different way home tonight. Stop and watch the birds, or the crazy drivers. Life is actually quite entertaining if we but look. Learn to be an observer.
